Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Oluwaseyi Aerospace Software Services LLC ("SeyAero Academy", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed through this Service. Contact: support@seyaero.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights — including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") where it applies.

2. Data we collect

• Account data — email address, password (hashed), and the consent choices you make at sign-up.
• Enrolment data — courses you apply for, enrolment status, and tuition records.
• Learning data — lesson progress, quiz attempts and scores, and certificates issued.
• Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and log data needed for security and operation.
• Communications — messages you send us and our replies.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and we do not sell your personal data.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

• Contract — to create your account, deliver courses you enrol in, track your progress, and issue certificates.
• Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve course quality, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Consent — for marketing emails and optional communications. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
• Legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and regulatory records.

4. Consent choices

At sign-up you must accept these Terms and this Policy to create an account (a condition of the contract). Marketing communications are strictly opt-in: the box is unticked by default, and leaving it unticked never affects your access to the Service. You can change your marketing choice at any time by emailing us.

5. Who we share data with

We use a small number of processors under data-processing agreements:

• Cloud hosting and database — to store and serve the Service securely.
• Email delivery — to send account, enrolment, and (with consent) marketing emails.
• Payment processing — when payments are enabled, to process tuition; we never store full card details.

Where these processors are outside the EEA/UK, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. We disclose data to authorities only where legally required.

6. Retention

Account and learning data are kept while your account is active. Financial and tax records are kept for the periods required by law (typically 7 years). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must retain by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access a copy of your personal data;
• rectify inaccurate data;
• erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
• restrict or object to processing, including profiling;
• data portability in a structured, machine-readable format;
• withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing);
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We apply encryption in transit, hashed password storage, row-level access controls, and least-privilege access to production systems. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If we learn we hold such a child's data, we will delete it.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
